Animoca Brands Ideas is a platform where gamers can contribute support through voting (via crowd voting) and/or funding (via crowdfunding) towards ideas posted up here on Animoca Brands Ideas. Ideas include all new Animoca Brands games, as well as ideas for additional content for our existing titles. Users of this site can also suggest ideas for new games and content.
We will host all sorts, such as ideas for new Animoca Brands games, as well as ideas for additional in-game features, characters, items, etc., related to current Animoca Brands games. Users can submit ideas for content they'd like to see in current Animoca Brands games too, or ideas for all new games they'd like to see developed by Animoca Brands.
Anyone! If you have an idea, feel free to submit one. Once you submit an idea, we will then review it. If your idea is approved, we will then place your idea up live for others to see it.
There are two ways you can show your support: voting and funding. You can do either one or the other, you are not obligated to vote AND fund. Please see below for further details.
First, an idea needs to gain enough votes from other users (this is known as 'crowd voting', where numerous users are asked to vote) before we ask users to provide funding for it (this is known as 'crowdfunding', where numerous users are asked to provide funding). Please see below for further explanations of what crowd voting and crowdfunding are.
Here is how it works. When an idea is made live for all users to see, users needs to vote for that idea to show their support for it (i.e. they vote if they like the idea enough and would like to see it made into usable/playable content). When enough votes have been gathered, we'll then set a funding goal for that idea. Users will then be asked to provide funding in order to reach the funding goal and once that goal has been met, that idea can then be produced into usable/playable content.
We, Animoca Brands Ideas, own all IP rights for ideas submitted to and/or posted up on Animoca Brands Ideas.
After you’ve submitted an idea, you’ll need to wait for it to be approved. You will be notified within 7 days if your idea is successful and has been approved.
To vote for an idea, make sure to click the ‘Vote’ box on the right hand side of the idea’s page.
You can vote only once for a single idea.
You can vote for as many ideas as you like.
Yes, you can vote for your own idea once.
Crowd voting is the concept of asking a community to show their support or express their collective opinion through voting. On Animoca Brands Ideas, other users are considered the “crowd”. If an idea is posted up, the “crowd” will then vote to see if they like the idea and/or want to see it developed into playable content. If an idea put forward on here receives a large number of votes, it displays that there seems to be a genuine interest towards that idea.
Let’s take reality TV as another way to illustrate crowd voting. In a reality TV dance competition, dancers who are competing to win will take turns dancing, hoping to wow the audience and/or judges. After all dancers have performed on a particular night, the audience may then be asked to vote for their favourite dancer. The dancer with the least amount of votes will be eliminated. In the final round, the dancer with the most number of votes will win the competition. Through crowd voting, the ultimate winner of the dance contest was chosen.
You can do so via PayPal.
You will receive a refund.
We use the All-or-Nothing funding model meaning if an idea does not gain enough funding, money is refunded to those who donated.
All registered users can contribute towards funding. Please ensure that you are eligible to provide funding (kindly see our terms of service).
You can contribute funding towards as many ideas as you like, as long as you are eligible to provide funding (please see our terms of service).
The safety and security of your details is one of our top priorities. We do not store any of your credit card details on our site.
Crowdfunding is the means of raising money (often done via the internet) from the public (the “crowd”). This is often done to support ideas that require additional funding in order for them to proceed to the next stage of development.
For another example of crowdfunding, think of a local musician who wants to create their own music album but they don’t have a record label to help them create and distribute it. The musician might then need to hire a local recording studio to help him/her produce this album. This musician may then go to a crowdfunding website and ask other people to donate money for him/her to create this album. If enough users contribute enough money, the musician can then use the funds he/she has received, hire a local studio and produce that album.
Here on Animoca Brands Ideas, if an idea gains enough funding, we’ll then take the idea to the production stage where it will then be made into usable/playable content.
